I feel like I need more characters like Isla in my life: nervous and quirky, yes, two traits that I can instantly relate to, but the lack of never planning one’s direction in life, what they want out of it – are things that I have and on occasion do feel! This was quite the perfect conclusion to such a gorgeous YA Contemporary trilogy, with all such lovely and relatable characters throughout – Isla being my very favourite! But as they begin their senior year back in France, Isla and Josh are forced to face uncertainty about their futures, and the very real possibility of being apart. And, after a chance encounter in Manhattan over the summer break, romance might be closer than Isla imagined.
