I feel like I need more characters like Isla in my life: nervous and quirky, yes, two traits that I can instantly relate to, but the lack of never planning one’s direction in life, what they want out of it – are things that I have and on occasion do feel! Isla, bookworm extrordinoere (another thing that made her relatable), is just trying to navigate her way through life, and I feel like she truthfully does a great job – she’s brainy and has a totally almost parabatai (in my opinion) like friendship with her best friend, Kurt, which I adored! Set against the stunning backdrops of New York, Paris and Barcelona, this is a gorgeous, heart-wrenching and irresistible story of true love, and the perfect conclusion to Stephanie Perkins’s beloved series.Īh, Stephanie Perkins has done it again! This was quite the perfect conclusion to such a gorgeous YA Contemporary trilogy, with all such lovely and relatable characters throughout – Isla being my very favourite! But as they begin their senior year back in France, Isla and Josh are forced to face uncertainty about their futures, and the very real possibility of being apart.
